It needed a few minutes to gather itself but it did open, mature, vanilla bean, earth/leather, sweet cherries, tobacco-shop and spice. Obviously drink it now - storage is everything - special.

I enjoyed it if slightly less fresh than previously. Great sweet tobacco and dried fig notes with a long espresso like finish.

Delicate red fruit remains, with a soft texture. For a 41 year old Cali Zin, it was pretty nice... Maybe that has to do with the alcohol which I believe was only around 12-13%
