This bottle had gotten hidden in the cellar. I found it and took it out to make a risotto with it, and it’s actually quite good! Color is advanced but still Zinny blackberry fruit and earthy warm bricks. A little sharp and thin in the finish.

Nose shows lots of secondary notes, with moist humus, gravel, sandalwood, maple syrup, and ripe blackberry. Intense and surprisingly savory in the mouth, with loads of acidity to boot. Long finish. I wouldn’t age these much longer, but it’s drinking well now. Very nice with a grilled porterhouse.
