Boxwood Red Blend

Great VA Bordeaux style wine, Cab Sauv primary. Good firm tannins, unusual for VA. Impressive nose, leather, tobacco. Long dark cherry finish.

All Boxwood collection -- tremendous. Such discipline, austerity, class. Thank you!!!


( And for those who like the dry and tighter reds of Piemonte and Valtellina will like them a lot, I think!)

Fresh, ripe blackberry and blueberry. Very spicy and herbal but not underripe. Smoky oak with some vanilla. Earth. Medium-weight, pretty well-balanced but there's a bit of alcohol burn.

2010 - not easy to find

Initial Cab Franc peppery tones. Smooth Merlot tannins at finish.

We bought at the vineyard- it was our favorite. It’s got a wonderful dry finish and was a fabulous surprise to find in Virginia.

C inky, slightly oxidized; leather, oak, earthy, black currant, incredibly smooth; one of best I’ve had in VA
