Rounded, highly drinkable, yet a bit straightforward Barbera. Matured in large barrel for 6 months, refined in bottle for at least 1 yr.
Cherry red color of some transparency, brownish red rim.
Restraint aromas of bilberry, fallen leaves, wet plum, wild cherry. Slight whiffs of black pepper and juniper berries.
Smooth palate of medium body, lively acidity, nearly insensible tannins. Lingonberry, wild cherry, blackthorn, pomegranate flavors.
Lingonberry & wild cherry on medium-minus length finish.
Paired hare baked in Mediterranean herbs.
