Bright ruby with low concentration but quite intense in flavors. Sanguine, red flowers, plum, fig, raisin, cassis, and violet. Elevated/high acidity, elevated yet smooth tannins, and almost full body. 12 months in 600L French oak. Great for a finicky grape such as Baboso.

Straight out of the bottle I thought a Funky Northern Rhone, ie, syrah. But no, Canary Islands conquers again. Actually loads of iron- melted rusty ingots w cinnamon, white pepper. Is that the oak monster? Love to see what a good decant would do, suspect it is layered much beyond the what it is now.

One of my favorite Spanish wines, hands down. This vintage a little fuller, but exotic red fruit and so much mineral tang and life. Like drinking a wine that's been electrified by a copper wire
