My first extended barrel age bottle from Booker to try. I tried this at pop, then about 4hrs later, and saved a glass for the next day. This was pretty open at pop but seemed to be best after it had been open a few hours (didn’t notice any sort of improvement/decline the next day). The aromatics here were floral (red and purple flowers/potpourri), baking spices (cinnamon) and fondue dipped cherries. It is deceptively dense while sporting a unique elegance about it. Kirsch liqueur, spicy rhubarb, and grilled plum are accompanied by sandalwood to round out the finish. I enjoy more use of whole clusters in these type of wines, but this is pretty delicious for the style.
