California Petite Sirah

Dark ruby in color with a purplish rim.

Intense black fruits on the nose with blackberries, black pepper, wild flowers, spices , plums blueberries and cake fruit.

Full bodied with great legs.

Fruity on the palate with blackberries, blueberries, figs, plums ,peppercorn, spices, vanilla, cherries and chocolate.

Medium finish with powerful tannins, even after 4 hours in the decanter.

This is a Good every day wine. Can be had by itself or with a hearty meat dish.

Californie. Pinot Noir druif. De Bogle Petite Syrah is een expressieve fruitige rode wijn. Felle inktkleur met gekleurde tranen. In de neus tonen van vers geplukte cassisbessen en zwarte jeneverbes met droge twijgjes en een florale exotische toets. Pittige smaak met sappige zuren en zachte tannines in een weelderige afdronk. Perfect bij oosterse pittig gekruide gerechten met rood en wit vlees, ook bij pasta in gekruide tomatensaus met pepertjes en bij wit schimmel kazen

Blackberry start and smooth finish. Good, affordable sipping wine.

Nice. Smooth, strong plum (?) notes, big flavor.

Nicely balanced, deep purple wine.

About $11. Very smooth a light.

Full bodied Petit Syrah @ the Grinnell Steakhouse

Red crushed grapes with a smooth finish. Hints of being grown by a man who was recently married. Low tannins. Supple backside.

A jammy, dark berry, tannic wine. Spice on the nose. Nice.

A nice example of a Petite Sirah some fruit upfront along with some smoky flavors and some spiciness on the back side. Fairly smooth nice finish with just a little bite but definitely not tannic. I would actually prefer a little more bite and tannic structure to the wine. Almost a tooth staining dark purple color, makes me wonder if there's been some Mega purple coloring added in, but Bogle wouldn't do that...
