Floral nose thanks to the viognier, juicy red berries thanks to the mourvedre, hefty weight on the palate due to the syrah. A wonderfully unique and altogether great blend from one of the most underrated and exciting regions, given the price.

Pours jam in color. ON THE NOSE: Cherry syrup, and wet dog. (Dog went away with aggressive swirling) ON THE PALATE: spice, earth, berry, leather. Medium (+) body medium finish.

That Syrah funk that I love and draws me back with a hint of white flowers. Good mid palate and tannins that are still evolving. Probably better to drink 3 to 6 months from now. 9/22/15

I like this vintage more than the previous one. There is more power and structure here, even if it is only from the oak. The viognier adds a bit of floral notes but remains masculine.
