Very soft. Flowery. Lovely. But not for the price.

👻 A spooky fizz where for more than 1k yrs the locals have spoken of a ghostly black dog that roams, bearing the souls of the departed to their resting place in the next world!

I loved the 1st release 2011 @ 92-94
This 2013 @ £29 is a good 91-93

🍷 Ghostly howling moon straw

👃 Eerie biting green apple & pear, minerals & citrus w/ dog shortbread biscuit

👄 Crisp refreshing balanced med tart sour sweet green fruits w/ biscuity citrus - 🐶 soft foaming mouth

🎯 Long creamy tart green fruit howl 🌙

Quite a pale coloured sparkling wine with a quite light bouquet of pear. The taste is a delightful but delicate ripe pear and lime. Quite soft and refreshing albeit the aftertaste is relatively short-lived. Lacks the complexity of a full blown champagne but I rank this 'grower' English sparkling wine as superior to Nyetimber's classic cuvée. Ultimately very quaffable and (currently) very good value. Recommended.
