Birthday dinner at St Anselm

Did not live despite high recommendation from wine shop. Did improve with time . Aroma had definite gamey undertone with cedar, smoke and musk plus iron / blood. Decent alcohol. Taste had hints of coffee and meat with minimal fruit (and anything there was dark). As time wore on got hints of both salt and cola along with less pleasant robotussin. Might age well but wouldn’t recommend today. Definitely offers a meat aroma though.
