Okay… way too young but one of the most endearing aspects of Zinfandel is how easy it is to drink early. Huge nose of juicy black fruit, leafy earth, and spicy tomato. The wine is bold, insistent, round and rich. I love California zin when ripe without jammy alcohol. This wine reminds me at a deep level of an average American—loud and in your face.
