Bartolo
Merlot Blend

Dark fruit with floral notes. Pronounced yet well integrated tannins, just enough acidity to keep it fresh. Hardly any sediment, no need to decant. Just beginning to show its age. Winemaker’s notes: Bartolo 2013 Merlot. Produced from the grapes in the Mann vineyard, Gilroy, California. Merlot 79%, Petit Verdot 21%. Barrel-aged for 20 months in two-year-old American oak.

Over the hill unfortunately. Very drinkable still, if you are comfortable with the port like stewed fruit notes. A dry dessert wine, medium acidity, medium plus tannins. Hardly any sediment, no need to decant. Winemaker’s notes: Bartolo 2010 Merlot. Produced from the grapes in the Mann vineyard, Gilroy, California. Merlot 79%, Petit Verdot 21%.
