#kosherWineSunday
Dark ruby in color with a reddish rim.
Light nose with chocolates, black fruits, light earth, tobacco leaf and light wood.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with black currants, cooked cherries, spices, oak, light vanilla, licorice, tobacco leaf, light earth, herbs and black pepper.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This 7 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from California is drinking very nicely now. Easy drinking, tangy and interesting. A good sipping wine.
Nicely balanced with nice complexity and a soft mouthfeel.
Peaking now, and will continue to drink nicely in the next few years.
Good right out of the bottle, and better after 30 minutes in the glass.
Good by itself or with food. Will pair nicely with barbecue meats. I paired it with a baked Brie cheese.
Kosher and Mevushal.
14% alcohol by volume.
91 points.
$45 (current vintage).

Deep inky in color with a short reddish rim.
Fruity nose with black currants, black plums, sweet cherries, vanilla, light cedar, licorice, black pepper, vegetables, bitter herbs, cloves, light bell pepper, dark chocolates, dark coffee, mocha and light alcohol.
Full bodied with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with plums, cherries, sweet raspberries, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, herbs, spices, dark chocolates, coffee, peppercorn, earth, light vegetables and pencil lead.
Medium finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cranberries.
This is a very nice Kosher wine from California. Showing mild complexity with a nice mouthfeel. Very typical, with a tangy ending and nice structure.
Needs an hour to open up properly and remove some of the acidity. As it opens up, more vegetable notes come in, and it becomes earthier.
This 3 year old Cabernet Sauvignon is still young and will be better in the next 5 years.
I paired it with cheeses and crackers. A good wine to pair with BBQ Meats. Went really nicely with the Brie cheese.
14.5% alcohol by volume.

For kosher cab, this was actually pretty good. Obviously not as big and bold as normal Alexander Cabs, nonetheless dark and fruity, mild tobacco notes and a medium to long finish. $30 / 88pts

Sep 30th, 2013Amazing. Breathtaking. Hands down the best Kosher wine I’ve had. Perhaps one of the best Cabs I’ve had too.
