Grand Vin de Syrie Blanc Chardonnay Sauvignon Blanc

First wine from Syria . Exotic nose and creamy lees contact . This is beautiful and even though it has low acidity it is very interesting .

N - sticky blackberry and cherry fruit with notes of cardamon, nougat, kirsch, Hawthorne and light graphite.

P - bitter black cherry, black olive, treacle. Tannins are fine but present and choc full of bitter chocolate and bitter black fruits, liquorice on the tangy finish. Bitter black chocolate and under ripe blackberry reduction. Grippy, serious, maybe a touch over extracted and lacking in acidity to keep it fresh. Would work by the glass with the right food.
