Red ruby center with a red rim.
Red fruits on the nose with black pepper, metals, pencil lead, blackberries, plums and sweet cherries.
Nice and smooth on the palate with plums, sour cherries, earth, dark chocolate, currants and spices.
Long finish with leathery tannins and spices.
Can be had by itself, but it was much better with a piece of steak.
55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot.
Needed 2 hours to open up. Nice now and would be better in 2 to 4 years.
13.5% alcohol by volume.

Such a great everyday wine and the price CANNOT be beat! I'm stocking up on these. A great balance between acid and fruitiness, and smooth tannins.
