Double Dutch Dusi Vineyard Zinfandel

A much lighter style of Zin. Refined.

Head trained, dry farmed 100 YO vines. Big and savory with raspberry and spice. Partly fermented in concrete.

Raspberry aroma. Red berries raspberries upfront then quickly changes to dry dusty finish. Jammy zin.

deep purple and some strong legs. Aroma is jammy as hell. Touches of oak aromas underneath the fruit. Lightly smoky. Flavor is boldly fruity with a surprisingly acidic astringent finish.

Good. Smooth. Hint of fruit.

I’ve been spoiled by David Phinney and Prisoner Zinfandels. …Not much on the nose. Raspberry syrup, blackberry, blueberry, & subtle tar on the palate. Not much else. Starts with a promise of being full-bodied and finishes rather flacid. Low acidity.
