This varietal, original from Bordeaux, is present in Euganean Hills since 1870. Its long adaptation to the particular weather and ground from the Hills has granted it a unique capacity for expression. Still wine with ruby red colour and purple tinges. In the nose, it is prominent, wide, with intense red-fruit fragrances, such as blackberries and currants, as well as herbaceous nuances typical of the varietal, accompanied by a delicate spicy nuance. It has intense soft and slightly tannic taste, full-bodied and aromatic. Its combination is perfect, served at 18° C, with gentle poultry, grilled meats, roasted meats and matured cheeses on average.
