Blend of Catarratto and Grillo, fermented on skins in Slavonian oak, pale lemon color with aromas of tropical fruits and floral spice. On the palate flavors of melon and peach with citrus notes, lively acidity, crisp on a smooth medium+ finish ending with fruit and flinty notes. Consistent!

Star bright green gold. Medium nose of yellow apple and white spices. Echoed on the medium-full palate with juicy satsuma and a bit of the rind. Subtle flavors are layered but still integrated. Medium acidity leaves room for spicier foods, and in general the wine calls for robustly flavored fare. We’re having cowboy rubbed, bacon and cheddar stuffed pork chops with Tuscan seasoned broccoli. Drink now through 2022.

Grabbed this in a hurry off the shelf thinking I was getting the varietal "cortese" grown in Sicily which was curious and intriguing. Nope. This is Grillo and Catarratto. It's got a viscous ness to it making me think apple/pear concentrate. Barely toying with a cloying edge but just stopping short. Juicy finish Thanks to the mod+ acidity. Solid but dont need to seek again. 13.5% $20 tw.
