This really caught me off guard. Held up really well despite the dubious storage conditions and crumbling cork. Darkly coloured with just a touch of bricking. Blackberries, plums, heaps of wood and pyrazines, and some earthiness. Medium bodied and short finish. Can’t say I really enjoyed it, but it showed good typicity and was surprisingly fresh. Makes you wonder how much sulphur was used on the wine to have survived all the abuse. Haha.
