Solid Chenin from South Africa, something I usually avoid. Fresh asian pear, honeysuckle, lemon curd. Lacking the Loire complexity I love but totally quaffable.

Compared to the Napa chenin blanc we just had the nose is very similar, maybe more lemon curd than lemon verbena on the nose. It tastes more expensive than the Napa, for sure.

Forget Steen. This is the most aromatic Chenin I've ever had. Maybe some bruised apple, but no wet wool. I wanted to rate this higher, but seemed to lack varietal character. Squeaky clean. No oak.

A unique white wine close to a good Sauvignon but with its own distinct bite and dryness. Underlying nose of fresh morning dew. Big time crisp, dry, citrusy flavors.
