As I remembered, still a bit of sharp elbows on this one. It was so sharp that I looked up the production notes last time and recall a finished ph of 2.9!
This may have lasted until one's grandchildren were ready to drink it, but it was a refreshing match with grilled chicken at the beach.
Pale yellow. Nose of reductive, flinty soil and lime zest, citrus blossom. Palate is medium bodied, very high acid, medium low alcohol, a bit unbalanced toward acid.

Petrichor on the nose. Angular citrus. Under stone fruit: nectarine, white peach. Light garden hose. Apple. Clean and refined with a medium to medium- body. Medium to medium+ acidity. Surprisingly long finish.

Good enough but not good enough to finish the bottle. Didn't have that zing...

Very pale lemon. Citrus and talc notes. Very lean palate with plenty of acid. Give it a few more years. This is a good area for Riesling. Previous Alkoomi Rizzas have been more Germanic with more mid palate sweetness and lower alcohol.

The acidity of the wine helps give it a great weight, length and richness on the palate. Went great with the Indian food.

Hot off the press - the 2014 vintage. Previous vintages 10+ years ago were a little Germanic in style with some residual sweetness from memory. This, however is tart and austere and a little too acidic for me. Chalky and lime juice notes. Badly needs food. 16-

A gigantic hefty brute of a Riesling vs the Mosel I typically imbibe...petrol, lemonade and honey briefly on the midpalate. Pretty darned tasty.

A little reductive out of the gate. Sweaty sock, grapefruit nose - seems a little closed. Body was a bit too abrasive with the acid. Grapefruit bomb.
