From a local and almost unknown grape, casetta (locally named "Foja Tonda") a nice, silky wine with scents of plums, tobacco, chestnuts. Slight oxidation does not hurt. Drinkable and long. Vintage 2002

Foja Tonda is an autochthonous grape of Vallagarina (at the border of Verona and Trento wine region), this 2000 vintage(in blend with some Cabernet Sauv.) seems to be at top of his evolution. Mature, with wide and pleasant hints of red fruits. Elegant, long, excellent.
