My wife and I were extremely fortunate to cross off the number one country on my bucket list last summer...Norway. I saw a picture a long time ago and said not only do I want to go to a country that looks like this, I want to go to this EXACT spot. It took a long plane ride, a second shorter plane ride, a bus, and a train ride through mountains to come across one of the most breathtaking landscapes I've ever laid my eyes upon. We were in the remote central part of Norway, amidst gigantic fjords and waterfalls. And the icing on the cake? The hotel we stayed at had a brewery on the bottom!

I bought this bottle as well as a wheat/blonde beer, and was lucky the pint glass from the brewery made it home too. Did the experience have an impact on how it tasted? Absolutely. And as I sit here in TX now, memories rush back as I close my eyes and dream of what seemed like heaven on Earth.

For what it's worth, this is an excellent brown ale. More porter style as it has espresso and dark chocolate to it, but it has that awesome crisp finish that sets ales apart from porters.
