Have you ever blown a really good thing?? At what point was that deciphered? I'm at my parents' place for the weekend, and I totally despise their electronic wine opener. I always wreck a cork with this gadget that is supposed to make my life easier. Call me old-fashioned, but I prefer the traditional ole manual bottle opener, thank you very much. I know how to use it, and we never grind a cork with it. But no matter what the fallout, fundamentally, if it's a good wine, take the cork out of the glass, clean up the fallout, and enjoy the dang wine!! I do realize that sometimes an easily-blown cork is a huge hint that the wine is too old/too dry/flawed and that's another thing. But don't knock it 'til you've tried it! In any case, this Chard/Viognier blend is drinking really well right now. Very summery. Happy 4th all!! — 10 years ago
I literally am sitting on the curb outside the Publix there with my eldest son eating Publix cookies and enjoying the tunes. Thanks to you for the inspiration!!!! #wildhair
