Left Drago to go to the dark side (sales!) about 3 years ago for Youngs Market. Went to Epic wines about a year ago after it was purchased by Bill Foley. I run LA for them. Very happy with them.
Came close to going that route myself. It's not too bad - you can make a grip doing it. I was a private wine consultant for a year and a half...that was COOL! I needed to get back to restaurants, though. If you're still in LA, I'll be out this spring - Vito and I may open a restaurant together. I'm opening one here, but I think the same theme will work on the West Coast - be great to catch up!
