coravin test #1. one month ago we had a few glasses out of a bottle of this tricot, then stored it with another untouched bottle from the same lot, opened ten both tonight and drank them side by side. the coravin glass was slightly darker--less ruby clarity. also, there was more wet cement minerality, while the newly opened bottle had more cranberry and freshness. these distinctions COULD be bottle variance, and we're small enough to be ignored if the two we're drunk a day apart. not a big deal. next, we'll try 6 bottles of one vintage of something more stable--two coravin poured a month before, two coravinned (new word?) two weeks prior, and two freshly opened, as a control. — 11 years ago
