Nice rose for #nationalroseday Herbal, blood orange, melon, strawberry. Not as open as the 16 was at this point, but that's not a criticism. — 6 years ago

Meadowcroft Wines Rivertrace Rosé 2021, California
Happy #NationalRoseDay.
Here is one from California.
A pretty color of orange, with a pink hue.
On the nose strawberries, unripe cherries, earth, citrus, vegetables, limes, bitter herbs and minerals.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with strawberries, cherries, spices, earth, limes, grapefruits, green apples, bitter herbs and vegetables.
Tangy finish with black pepper and almonds.
This is a unique California Rosé, that drinks more like a French one. Earthy with lots of herb notes.
Soft, elegant and spicy. Crisp and refreshing.
A good food wine, and better when not too cold.
I had it by the beach, and it paired nicely with the Brie cheese.
A blend of 60% Syrah, 20% Malbec and 20% Grenache. A small production of only 2,200 bottles made.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
88 points.
