The 2018 IX Estate is a wine of extraordinary depth and intensity. The aromatics along are positively dazzling. Crushed herbs, lavender, spice, menthol, chocolate, licorice and gravel lend tremendous power and gravitas. Just as impressive it was last year, the 2018 is positively riveting today. What a wine! The 2019 Pinot Noir Las Alturas captures all the signatures of the Belle Glos style and yet has quite a bit of freshness too. That makes for a compelling Pinot for readers who enjoy big, large-scaled wines. Sweet spice, rose petal, lavender and spice are nicely kicked up here. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, January 2022)

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is just as magnificent as it was last year. Dark, sensual and enveloping, the 2018 possesses off the charts intensity and fabulous balance. Black cherry, plum, chocolate, spice and licorice all build over time, but it is the wine's mind-blowing intensity and pedigree that are once again so alluring. The 2018 is quite simply regal. The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is stunning, just as it was last year. A dark, ample, brooding Cabernet, the 2018 offers up the essence of black cherry, plum, mocha, spice, graphite, leather and incense. The 2018 has shut down considerably since I tasted it last year. That won't be a problem in a few years' time, but today the 2018 is decidedly brooding. Even so, it shows tremendous finesse and tons of pure breed. It is without question one of the epic, present-day wines for the estate. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, January 2022)

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is a heady, showy wine endowed with port-like richness. Blackberry jam, espresso, licorice, cloves and new French oak saturate the palate. Buccella is one of the most opulent wines in Napa Valley. As always, it packs a serious punch. There is zero subtlety though, and not much in the way of refinement. The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is polished, nuanced and so delicious. Silky and floral, with vibrant red-toned fruit, the Napa Valley Cabernet delivers the goods. It is a positively stellar wine from Amici. I loved it. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, January 2022)

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon opens with soaring floral and savory overtones. Inky, deep and flavorful, this dense yet mid-weight Cabernet delivers the goods. I would prefer to drink it on the young side, while the inky, jammy fruit remains vibrant. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, January 2022)

The 2018 Dominus has really shut down over the last year. I underestimated its imposing structure and density, both of which are on fully display today. The 2018 is a potent Dominus endowed with superb depth and tons of vertical explosive energy allied to a feeling of elegance that becomes increasingly apparent over time. Dark fruit, spice and a whole range of earthy, savory notes add layers of complexity. Superb. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, January 2022)

The 2019 Red Blend Proprietary Red is loaded with jammy dark cherry, plum, mocha, new leather and sweet spice. Soft contours and plush tannins give this opulent red plenty of immediacy and near term appeal. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, January 2022)

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is vibrant and full of energy. Sweet red cherry, mocha, spice, new leather and licorice are nicely layered in this mid-weight, polished Cabernet Sauvignon. I would give the 2019 a year or two in bottle and then enjoy it over the next decade or so. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, January 2022)
