The medium-dark wine smells of ripe, red fruit dotted with peppery, herbal notes. There is a whiff of vanilla, cedar and cigars as well. The palate shows the red berries plainly, along with a tongue-tingling acidity and toothy tannins. A lengthy decant is useful, if not required, before enjoying. Pair the wine with the red meat of your choice.
