How do you not love the wines of a crazy Frenchman who traveled the world to find best terrior to blend the varietals he wanted to grow, only to settle in Paso Robles. Here we have his masterful and unusual blend of syrah, cab and petit verdot. The nose is rustic, olives, leather, blackberry, tree bark, morning dew. The wine is light and silky, but rich and voluptuous, the syrah pepper sneaks up on you, lively acids that are just balanced by the fruity cab, and then you realize cab and syrah are fascinating together. And of course it all makes sense, Paso is one of the only wine growing regions in the world where you can actually grow both. Nice job, you crazy Frenchman, this wine is a win and I'm glad I'm in your club.

Estate Cuvee's little brother. More or less the same wine but less expensive.

Ugh. 15.7% ABV and tasted porty, but not much varietal character.

Delicious, notes of tabacco and blackberry. From Paso, probably good with wild boar!
