Aromas of Huckle berry jam- Apple skin, parsley stem, very light and acidic for a Bordeaux

small scale Bordeaux. Mid- intensity aroma, cassis, blueberry, cedar, touch of forest floor. Some layers and mid body. Dry, Mid+ acidity (stands out due to restraint aroma), soft tannin, mid finish. felt typicity of Bordeaux.

Vintage 2010 - I gave it two hours in a decanter. Very smooth wine. #saintjulien

Slight vegetal nose, old wine cellar and hints of vanilla.. True to form left bank Bordeaux

As I grow custom too the aphrodisiac red, I rate the saint Julien as exemplary wine into my cultured journey

Oak and black currant aroma. Matured. Much fruity compared with same aged 2008. CP quite good. This is another good wine different from first. 2010 @1200, Fwine -, 220113-220210

This is a big step up from the first bottle I had, exactly one year ago. I remember that bottle; it was so disjointed and acidic without any fruit to balance. This was much more harmonious. It was purple ink, with only the slightest bricking evident. There was good fruit, mostly black berries and raisins but also a good wood influence. I had low expectations and this was solid.

A work in progress to celebrate another work in progress. In reading other reviews, I was struck by the the accuracy of this wine being described as ‘green’. It’s got a distinct vegetal note and is rather acidic and closed. One of these projects will be resolved quickly, and the other one is the wine. I have one more bottle that I won’t even attempt until 2023++.

Jammy dark fruits with a touch of spice. Delicious.

A great second wine, with fine grained tannins and concentrated fruit.
