Château La Roque
Cuvée Les Vieilles Vignes de Mourvedre Coteaux du Languedoc Pic St. Loup
Coteaux du Languedoc Pic St. Loup, Languedoc, Languedoc Roussillon, France
Inky deep garnet color. Great "sauvage" aromas of garrigue, plum, blackberry and herbs. Well-balanced acidity on the palate, very clean with moderate tannins and a tight finish. Gamy and appealing

Oh, Mourvèdre, from an amazing place. fleshy fistfuls of ripe black-red juice and wild herbs, cleanly contained by chalk. Seamless tannin. Impeccable, balanced, substantial. Yes!

Aging gracefully. Gain some intensity in mid-palate, and great aromatics. In another 65 weeks?
