Bordeaux plain and simple. From the first sniff of black currents, plums and leather this is unmistakably a claret. There is little else to say about it. It was not refined or that smooth. It was, however, balanced and that carried the wine a long was especially as it has a descent finish to it.
I did enjoy drinking it and I was with friends eating pie.

Perfectly acceptable Bordeaux at its price ... dry, nice fruit, and just a bit harsh on the tongue.. perfect with our steak/ frites dinner tonight in Brussels
