Brought to Tasting Group. Presented double-blind. Pours a deep ruby color with some sediment in the glass. A mixed fruit set of mostly red and some dark fruits, dried cherries, leather, earth, dried leaf tobacco, and some dried herbs. Medium tannin with medium+ acid. Long finish. One person was close on place, calling Chianti Classico but nobody came close on vintage. To be fair, this certainly didn’t come across as a 30+ year old wine. If anyone has more of this laying around in a good cellar, you will be rewarded. — 5 years ago
