Tart, medium acidity, light bouquet, well rounded and balanced. Also, the app has the location wrong - this is Croatian, not from Slovenia. — 2 years ago
My a-ha wine. Outstanding plavac, a local varietal ancestral to Zinfandel. Med+ body with great structure and med acidity. Highly complex with ripe plum, cassis and relatively subtle oak characteristics. — 4 years ago
Beautifully fresh Croatian White — a year ago
Dark red color, semi-sweet, spice and pepper with a hint of oak, dry on its own, but delicious with prosciutto. — 2 years ago
Pio na Korculi, odlicno vino! — 3 years ago
Excellent wine. Strong wine. But balanced. Yet the flavors haven’t knitted themselves all as one quite yet. Although much like piecing together the story of Zinfandel aka Tribidrag, the different sensations arresting your attention in separate parts has a charm all its own. — 7 years ago
Excellent Plavac Mali, aged in separate barrels (old and oak) for 9 months each. Smooth, creamy, and full-bodied. The app has the geography wrong (this is a Croatian wine, it is not from Slovenia). — 2 years ago
Now 12 years after the vintage... We're enjoying this on our seventh anniversary remembering several plavac mali wines back on our honeymoon in Croatia... On the nose, this is raspberry liqueur, blackberry, and allspice... On the palate, this is blackberry, black raspberry, cinnamon, allspice... It's the dusty tannins that prevail here making this a chewy glass of wine... A medium finish, but the flavors on the finish are satisfying. — 3 years ago

I don't know that I've had a wine quite like this... It would be too simple to say that its dominant character is of tart, green table grapes. Something about this works though... Big body... Big acidity... Tons of minerality... This cuts the Super Bowl snacks beautifully... — 5 years ago
