This is the Syrah. Umpqua Valley. It’s pretty deep red with a rusty edge. It smells floral. Fairly ripe with red and black fruits in the mix. Some licorice. Black licorice. Tart too. This is lighter and more Grenache like than many Syrah’s I’ve had. Has a hint of brandy in there too. Might be a hint oxidized. But it’s an interesting, tasty wine. — 7 months ago
