Ripe fruit, black liquorice, slightly acidic. Medium body but a bit flat. Not the best Valpolicella Ripasso that I have had but still OK. Would pair well with cheese. — 9 years ago

Enjoyed this wine but ended up reacting to either the sulphites or preservatives used in this wine. Day 2 confirmed it. Ended up pouring the remainder down the sink.

I had a lovely dinner and the Wine amplified the flavors of our Italian meal. The aroma and taste are on par with more expensive labels. Although wines from Italy enjoy a good reputation for quality. Very smooth, and our table ordered a second bottle. Bravo!
