Probably the best Lobg Island wine! The 2007 was a superb year for wine making and the Roanoke Cab Sav is top of my list! — 11 years ago

Who would have thought that this would have finished in last in a group of older Long Island wines. Sure 2006 wasn't a great year, but in its youth it was stellar. And its still young. Showed lots of earth, spice and savory notes. Most of the fruit has fallen off compared to the 2002's and 2003's we tasted. Still showing a small amount freshness, and the tannins were more relaxed. This is by no means a knock. I like an earthy and savory Cabernet Franc. It was just shoing less fruit than the others. #liwine #nydrinksny #tasteny #roanokevineyards #cabernetfranc #franc #wine — 11 years ago
