I'm not usually a big fan of merlot but this one suprised me. Black fruits on the nose. Blackberry and blueberry dominant with medium acidity and firm tannins. I actually like this one, nice. — 10 years ago
A sorpresa questo ottimo pugliese si abbina alla perfezione col risotto alla milanese. :) E anche con i pomodori ripieni che sono venuti dopo. Caldo e vellutato in bocca. — 11 years ago
This Pugliese wine is robust yet smooth to drink with full bursts of grape and cherry notes. — 7 years ago

Dark cherries, prune, black figs, hint of pork sausage on the nose. Med p body, med p acid, med p intensity, med tannin(i can feel very little tannins), dark licorice, alcohol on the first palate followed by hint of astringency and bitterness.
Drunk with typical pugliese dish(antipasti, ricotta, orchiette etc...). 14.5%abv, good for people who are looking for no tannin, high alcohol, bitter(dark fruit) wines. Maybe Argentina malbec drinkers? — 10 years ago
buzzed beforehand, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying this Pugliese wine. Wife enjoyed it as well. — 7 years ago

Currant, vanilla and cherry sour patch kids. Consumed within 1hr of opening, would like to explore how this develops over a longer decant. Enjoyed with a large Pugliese meal — 11 years ago
Truly a Pugliese classic. — 11 years ago

Slightly smokey, rounded tannins, a little chalk, roasted red bell pepper, prune, vanilla. A little alcohol forward at 14.5%. Great with orecchiette con broccoli for an all-Pugliese meal. From Flatiron Wines. 12/12/20 — 6 years ago
