Reminiscent of the house style for Piro Wine — 8 years ago
When you’re handing out candy and chomping hoagies, what could be better than a fall inflected, dusty, Nebbiolo from AR Pe. Pe.
It hits all the corners, old enough but not too old. Firm acids, gentle tannins, reds, browns, seems perfect w the falling leaves. An Italian hoagie to partner, ah yes.

Delicious. Not too affordable, but worth every sip. — 11 years ago
Originally tasted back to back from Rosso to Rocca de Piro then this. This time had it with ‘16 Barolo, interesting to see how much they’re different from each other given the fact that both are from Nebbiolo. Slightly lighter than Barolo but more lively and energetic, notes of cherry and fresh oak with gentle smokiness. Absolutely enjoyed it! — 7 months ago
