A regular "go to". It's always good :-) nice and juicy, good drink while cooking dinner listening to Edith Piaf — 10 years ago
Purchased this little gem while traveling and I'm thoroughly enjoying it.
Bright with fresh berries on the pallet. The finish is slightly bitter.
I must admit that I'm in a hotel room during an early snow in Kansas, listening to Edith Piaf on my bluetooth speaker. Thus, the only glassware available is your typical thin plastic hotel cup.
But, I cannot complain. I truly cannot complain.
Cheers. — 5 years ago
Date night in Paris at the Harvard Club in New York. The grandiose main dining room was transformed into Paris for a night where the would-be Edith Piaf singer covered all the hits. The menu was earnest in its reproduction of French classics, and as lethal as steak tartare followed by steak frites might be, "non je ne regrette rien". A Bordeaux was a must. With some age and from a brilliant year, this straightforwardly delicious wine was a nod to some of the classics from the vintage. Une belle soirée. — 7 years ago
Roséish white, salt water, used socks, young grapes, translucent blue, black steel, mini fluorescent, peach, toast, elderflower champaign ish, sugar cookie... — 10 years ago
Very impressive. Still has great acidity to balance the sweetness. Entry is on orange peel and the finish is nutty. Very long and delicious. None of our invitees ate cake they all decided to just sip on this as we listened to Edith Piaf. A very memorable experience. — 6 years ago
Great easy drinking red. Not big. Peppery. — 7 years ago
Very nice Malbec with blackberry and raspberry notes , nice ripe and velvety tannin finish complementing a dry aged filet and Edith Piaf music for dinner on porch. — 9 years ago

Pinot Noir? From Sancerre?!? Mais, c’est vrai. In the glass: very pretty reds, light at tops, pink-red near sides of the bowl, darkening to a velvety rich dark rouge-noir center bottom of the glass… “La Vie en Rose” nearly leaps out pf the glass. On the nose: fresh paper and new spring acacia leaves. A pack of Marlborough’s still wrapped in plastic wants to announce itself at the end of a deep sniff. Ahhh, there it is—the spring cherries of a light pinot dance forth over the lips… en point…and plier mid-palate to let roll in lush cherry juice—just a little tart-sweet and delightfully bright… Edith Piaf coloratura leads to French Oak-inflected vanilla on a pillow-soft finish…oh!
A lingering finish at that—extra points, thank you! — 4 months ago
