Pale yellow white in color. Floral, baby carrot, tropical fruit, and cream soda/orange soda notes in nose. Pineapple and lemon notes in mouth, slight veg (mustard greens?), some orange and tangerine on finish. Good neutral cleansing acid, dry, some moderate weight astringency on tongue in finish. A lot going on, suitable food wine but works fine for easy drinking before dinner as well — 9 years ago
Pure joy: Demi sec, methode traditionelle Cab Franc. Strange as it sounds, it works. Drinks like grape soda with a distinctly herbal bite. Something I could drink every day. — 11 years ago

Balanced and not pinchy like other Phillips Hill lately. Works well with burgers and homemade pizza. — 9 years ago
Very good neat. Nice in cream soda also. Not much bite for a flavored whiskey. Think buttery like a Werther's Original Candy. — 10 years ago

I so rarely encounter a great Gewürztraminer from outside Alsace, and when I do, it’s most likely from the Anderson Valley. This Phillips Hill bottling is no exception. Striking in its aromatic intensity - dried ginger, rose water, thyme, pine sap, crushed stones, and white pepper - the wine is vinified nearly bone dry, resulting in a taut, lean structure that moves with spritely dynamism. The floral and spice tones meet fruitier flavors on the palate - white peach and lemon soda. A far cry from the California Chardonnays and Sauvignon Blancs that dominate the Golden State’s white wine scene. — 8 years ago
