Had a glass at the winery and it tasted good enough to buy a bottle and bring home. So … at home , it pours a deep ruby color. Aroma of red raspberry and berries and a hint of smoke? . Cherries and raspberries in the middle with a dry pucker at the finish. — 4 years ago
Pennsylvania Grüner. That’s right, and a very good one at that! Well balanced with pure varietal character and age worthy over several years. — 3 months ago
Consistency is good - see my notes from earlier vintage. Approachable on opening. Floral on the nose. Dense spicy raspberry and a touch of leather on the palate. Starting to show some mineral on a moderate long finish. Tannins show at the finish. Perhaps the vines are getting more mature as it seems as if the profile is moving towards an old world style that may need cellaring in future vintages. — 3 years ago
Just as delicious as I remember it. Can distinctly taste the black cherry. It is delightful to taste the actual description of the wine. Definitely on the sweeter side. — 5 years ago

2023 must have been a warmer/riper vintage due to the fact that this wine seems quite tropical. Aromas and flavors of pineapple, mango, pears and lemon/lime. Noticeable touches of minerals and white pepper on the long finish. Very fruit forward and refreshing. Crisp acidity and well rounded texture. Not a typical expression of Gru V, but pretty enjoyable. — 5 months ago
Solid vintage year for the reserve cab. It’s one of the better balanced mid-Atlantic cabs you can find. It has the density and complexity of a top tier cab you’d expect from.more acclaimed Napa vineyards - but without the the ‘in your face’ tannins. Nice job Penn’s Woods! — 4 years ago
So delicious 🍷 — 5 years ago

What a delicate/feminine style… Almost ankida Pinot-esk with a mandarin/tamarin finish. — 2 months ago
