Otello 1813 Nero di Lambrusco

Awesome wine to enjoy with n Parma. It's deep in color , just a tad sweet but effervescent. What a unique wine! Need to find this back home for sure! — 7 years ago

Otello Nero di Lambrusco

Delectable Wine
9.1

Bright ruby-purple. Slightly high-toned, intensely fruity aromas of black cherry, blueberry nectar, vanilla and licorice. Plush, tactile and suave, with the superripe dark fruit flavors nicely framed by a mineral quality and polished tannins. Finishes long and creamy, with repeating and nicely lingering clean, dense fruity reminders. Lambrusco that will make believers out of those who do not. All that at only 11% alcohol. A modern interpretation if Lambrusco. The interesting color is given by "ancelotta" grapes. 87/100

Ceci Otello 2 Dry Sparkling. I believe it's from Emilia Romagna. Very bready, toasty aromas. Lemon peel. Baked apple. Kinda harsh bubbles. Must be charmat method. — 11 years ago
