We delved into the cellar for the occasion and came out with this 2015 Pinot Noir from Myattsfield in the Perth Hills, WA.
And what a treat it was and I have no doubt this wine will continue to age (if you have the patience to hold onto it that is).
In the glass it has a garnet coloured hue. Notes of red berry fruits and cherries 🍒 with a farmy/earthy aroma come through. It’s rather rich and tantalising if you ask me. In the mouth it doesn’t disappoint either with exceptional juicy fruit forward flavour that covers every millimetre of the mouth. It’s bright acidity and silky tannins show signs that it’s ageing well and will continue to do so!
