Ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Pretty nose of black and red fruits with chocolates, cedar and tobacco.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry and fruit forward on the palate with nice complexity.

Showing black currants, cherries, light oak, chocolates, light earth, spices, dark coffee, wild flowers, peppercorn, licorice, herbs and light black tea.

Medium plus on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a wonderful, aged Zinfandel, from Shenandoah Valley in California. Fruit forward and elegant.

Easy drinking and very dangerous, as the high alcohol is very well integrated by now, so watch out.

This 8 year old spicy Zinfandel is peaking now, and will continue to drink nicely in the next few years.

I decanted it, but it was great right out of the bottle. Tannins show up after 90 minutes of airtime.

Good by itself as a sipping wine, and paired very nicely with my burgers.
