The nose shows a broad spectrum from bright red fruits through to dark and rich plum with some subtle savoury herb undertones. WOW! This is a big deal. It has the weight and power of a top notch port with an enviable tannin structure. Layer upon layer of thick juicy fine grained tannins!
This is masterfully balanced with opulent fruit power. This is a truly luxurious experience. Hats off to the winemakers @Brian Conway and @Craig Isbel and to the Hoffman's and their 130 year old vines in Ebenezer, Barossa valley. — 10 years ago
This was pretty damn good. Stood up well in terms of concentration and depth against the Gramenon I had the night before (this was from memory of course). I guess pairing it with one of the best beef short ribs I've ever eaten does not help to keep it unbiased. — 8 years ago
Seriously fun. Dare I say 'terroir'? — 8 years ago
Powerfully crafted and designed. This is a beautiful and rare blend of Mataro and Aglianico sourced from the hillside vineyards in barossa valley. It has depth and high intensity flavors and aromas of ripe back fruits and mint/Medicinal. It still keep it freshness despite it 14.5 abv — 8 years ago

Fragrant, lighter Aglianico. Always felt Aglianico needs a little new oak for balance, but this proved me wrong. — 7 years ago
