Rather enjoyable SB and another really nice TX white wine produced by Benedicte Rhyne from Aix-en-Provence! Lemongrass nose. Entry is lemon and granny smith apple. Entry of this wine is acidic, the middle a little more velvety. Finish definitely has a nice little citrus component. Probably rating this one a little low actually, and compared to other SB's, this one is more on the lighter side. — 8 years ago
Wonderfully full bodied and complex. Dark fruits and balanced apice — 5 years ago
2014 Roussanne from a Texas winery, winemaker Benedicte Rhyne from Aix-en-Provence. Not current vintage, although current vintage is sold out too! This one sells out fast, and no question why. Acid up front is more attenuated, peach and kiwi have started to replace lemongrass and honeydew noted a year ago. This is the first Texas white I have been confident to age a year or longer. Based on this expression today, I have a feeling this one has a lot more ahead, quite easily! Nice finish with sharper acidity. Cheers! — 8 years ago
