Complex, powerful, but still approachable. Signature Dry Creek old vine Zin with aromas of cigar tobacco, asphalt, nutmeg. Great mid palate chewiness, rich black currant flavors, and a nice long finish. — 6 years ago

Nose is really nice, with slightly weedy, bright cassis and dark berry fruit, loamy gravel, and sandalwood. On the palate the fruit hits first, but then it clenches a bit, relaxing toward the end by releasing savory notes that cling nicely. I like the overall balance, with fruit, some tannin in the mid palate, and pretty nice acids. It’s listed at only 13.8%, which I heartily applaud! And I got it dirt cheap from Garagiste. — a month ago
