Pale to mid Gold in colour. Aromas of wet hay and lemon with some nutty notes developing. On the palate early stages of honeyed characters developing amongst the grapefruit and brisk acidity. An excellent Semillon from the relatively new viticultural area of the South Burnett, 3 hours drive northwest of Brisbane which you would think would be too hot and humid for quality viticulture but Semillon does well in humid warmer climes like the Hunter Valley for example. At the 2016 Queensland Wine Show this wine won 2 Trophies. Could be cellared for many years. — 5 years ago
